VicRoads Club Permit Membership

Thrills on Wheels is an authorised car club under the VicRoads Club Permit Scheme. If you own a vehicle that’s 25 years or older, you can register it on a reduced Club Permit – perfect for weekend cruisers, classics, or project cars you don’t want to fully rego.

Why Get a Club Permit?

The Club Permit Scheme allows eligible vehicles to be driven up to 45 or 90 days per year with significantly reduced rego and insurance costs. You’ll get a logbook and custom permit number plates on the spot when you register at VicRoads. Additional information can be found on the VicRoads website:

How to Join & Register

  1. Obtain a roadworthy certificate
  2. Digitally fill out the following (don't sign them yet):
    Vehicle Eligibility and Standards Declaration for Club Permit Vehicles form
    Club permit application form
  3. Create an account and log in
  4. Purchase either the Silver or Gold membership
  5. Upload your documents here
  6. We’ll sign the documents electronically and have them sent back to you
  7. Print, sign, and take your forms to VicRoads
  8. VicRoads will issue your plates and logbook on the spot

What You'll Need to Upload:

Already in Another Club?

Switching to Thrills on Wheels is easy, no RWC required. Just:

  1. Digitally fill out the following (don't sign it yet):
    Vehicle Eligibility and Standards Declaration for Club Permit Vehicles form
  2. Create an account and log in
  3. Purchase either the Silver or Gold membership
  4. Write and sign a letter advising VicRoads of your change of club (we can help with this!)
  5. Upload your documents here
  6. Get in contact with us and we’ll provide a signed letter confirming your new membership
  7. Submit both to VicRoads at a branch or via email (details are on the vehicle eligibility form)
